McKinney is the CEO of Eminence Group, LLC, a premier General Contractor in the Metropolitan Washington D.C. area.
Ms. McKinney is a life-long entrepreneur and community leader. She started her first landscape business at the age of 12 and at the age of 19 while in college, she launched a leaf clean up service that became a full services landscape company two years later. Delores held several progressively responsible positions with Johnson Controls Automotive Division including Chemist (1991) and Cost Analyst (1996). She relocated to Belcamp, MD in 1998 when she was promoted into the leadership role of Environmental Manager. That same year McKinney Landscape was launched. That business grew and evolved into the successful government contracting firm that it is today and was renamed Eminence Group, LLC. in 2006. Because of the excellence and integrity associated with the company's name and its leadership, major corporations such as Gilbane Building Company and Harkins Builders have engaged Ms. McKinney (and Eminence Group) as their desired Small business partner.
The New E.R.A. Community Group (a 501c3 non-profit) was founded in 2012 by Ms. McKinney and her sister in her hometown of Saginaw, Michigan. She serves on the foundation's Board of Directors and she is aggressively working to fulfill the foundation's mission and her personal commitment to help revitalize Saginaw through economic development and the creation of new jobs. As well, Delores is a very active board member with the Urban Sports League, and organization who's mission is to bring baseball to the top 88 metropolitan urban cities in the US. The program will be piloted in Baltimore, Maryland in 2016.
Delores graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1991, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry with a minor in Business.
Ms. McKinney currently resides in Columbia, Maryland.
