    Founder Cooperstown Dreams Park

Coach is the founder of the family owned Cooperstown Dreams Park located in Cooperstown, NY, and home of the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame.

Cooperstown Dreams Park is the crown jewel of baseball tournaments for 12 year old players. Every week for 13 consecutive weeks over the past 20 years, 104 teams have competed from all over the country at Cooperstown Dreams Park. The week of play in Cooperstown kicks off with an inspirational Opening Ceremonies which include a history of the park, a tribute to our soldiers and highlighting those who have played, and an honoring of the American flag. Each player and coach is inducted into the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame and presented with a ring at the conclusion of the week. Coach Lou feels it is a privilege for him and his family to host these players and coaches, and encourages them throughout the week, and in life, to be their own heroes.

Coach Lou and his wife Linda opened Cooperstown Dreams Park in 1996. Coach was inspired by his paternal grandmother and father. His grandmother raised a family of 9 children that were all passionate about baseball and Coach was inspired to start Cooperstown Dreams Park when he was visiting the Hall of Fame with his father. His father said, "Every kid in America should have the chance to play baseball at Cooperstown!" After 34 years of coaching, and professional stops in real estate and target marketing as a demographer on Madison Avenue in New York City, he decided to turn his father's dream into a reality.

Cooperstown Dreams Park was born, and the landscape of youth baseball was forever changed because of his shared dream and vision. Coach Lou is a TRUE HERO to so many people. He has made DREAMS come true for thousands of baseball players and their extended families - it is always an emotional experience for everyone. When baseball players leave Dreams Park, parents, grandparents, and players say that it was the best experience of their life.

Coach always encourages those he meets to: "Be your own Hero. The man in the mirror has to be your own hero. If that doesn't work for you, look to your mom and dad, your grandma and grandpa - those are your real heroes. But most of all, you have to dream dreams and be willing to pay the price to make them come true!"

It is because of his dream and the willingness of those involved with the completion of Cooperstown Dreams Park that we continue to celebrate this wonderful game of baseball, and will continue to have many avenues to pass down its lessons and traditions for generations to come.
